| Last night I met a guy who told me he was suicidal. He had just taken a bunch of pills and was going to wash them down with booze. He looked all of 100 pounds and told me he was in a program but said it wasn't working. He asked me where the nearest hospital was and started to walk away. I couldn't let him leave, I offered him a ride to UCSF (closest hospital). It was really hard to hear someone say that they wanted to die, my heart ached for him. You never know what somebody else is going through, so be kind and gentle to each other, and be kind and gentle to yourself. |
